Sharing Files

How to Share a File

  1. Go to the share page
  2. Click "Choose File" or drag and drop your file
  3. Create a secure password
    • Make it strong but memorable
    • You'll need to share this password with the recipient
  4. Click "Generate Secure Link"
  5. Once uploaded, you'll see a success message and the secure link
  6. Click "Copy Link" to copy the link to your clipboard

Security Tips for Sharing

  • Send the link and password separately for better security
  • Don't share the password in the same email/message as the link
  • Consider using a different communication channel for the password
  • The password cannot be recovered if lost

Accessing Shared Files

How to Access a File

  1. Click the secure link you received
  2. Enter the password provided by the sender
  3. Click "Decrypt & Download File"
  4. Your file will automatically download once decrypted

Troubleshooting Access

  • If you get an error, double-check the password
  • Make sure you're using the exact password (it's case sensitive)
  • If the file is not found, the link may have expired

  • Files are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption
  • Each file gets a unique encryption key from your password
  • Files cannot be accessed without the correct password

  • Use a unique, strong password

Common Issues

  1. "File not found"
    • The link may have expired
    • The file might have been deleted
    • Double-check the URL
  2. "Decryption failed"
    • The password is incorrect
    • Try copying and pasting the password to avoid typos
  3. "Upload failed"
    • Check your internet connection
    • Ensure file is under 50MB
    • Try refreshing the page
